Chez Les Maryon
A Captivating Village House
A Captivating Village House
On the ramparts of the medieval village of GRAMBOIS in the South-Luberon, Vaucluse, Provence

Chez Les Maryon is the spot to choose if you are looking for a true Provencal village experience in comfortable and gracious surroundings. The charm and tranquility of village life is yours to savour, and yet within 35 minutes you can be in the elegant and sophisticated university town of Aix-en-Provence with all the cultural and shopping delights it has to offer. And in little more than an hour you can be relaxing by the Mediterranean enjoying your seafood lunch!

Chez Les Maryon is a beautifully restored village house, parts of which date from the 13th century, and it is situated on the ramparts of the village of Grambois in the South Luberon. The house has uninterrupted views over the Luberon mountain chain and the valley of the Pays d'Aigues. Facing west, it enjoys spectacular sunsets.

The house offers 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom; a Provencal-style fully equipped kitchen with separate laundry; an elegant and comfortable salon, a vaulted 13th century dining room; a spacious covered terrace and a small, separate garden.

There is an LCD television with satellite services in English (BBC, CNN etc.) and local French TV channels. Highspeed and WiFi Internet connections for your computer are complementary, as are telephone calls to landlines in the European community, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

Parking is available on-street and in view of the house. Chez Les Maryon can accommodate a maximum of 7 people, in a non-smoking environment. Our house has been restored for our retirement and thus to a high standard.

The delightful perched village of Grambois, situated at an altitude of 370 meters, is within the Luberon Regional Nature Park and on the Route des Chateaux du Sud Luberon. So there is lots to see and do in the immediate area. The village itself has retained its charm and originality and is largely unaffected by tourism. You will be enchanted by the village square and its fountain, the Romanesque church, the Chateau and the meandering, cobbled lanes of the village.

Fetch your freshly baked bread in the morning from the Boulangerie in the village square; do a little shopping for cheeses, pates, meats and other supplies at the Epicerie; take a coffee or an "apero" with the locals at the Café Dol; send your postcards from La Poste; select your wine from the Cave Cooperative or other local wine cellars, enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner at the local "auberge".

And at the end of a happy day, watch the sun go down from the Terrace or the garden of Chez Les Maryon - perhaps with a glass of local rosé in your hand.

Location: Grambois is located in the South Luberon in the department of Vaucluse (84) in Provence, France - see Maps. It is on the route D956 between Pertuis and Manosque.
